Roland Adler started the business in 1976 and initially sold trailers and second hand caravans. In 1985 Comet Caravans became a Wilk dealer. In 1990 Roland Adler bought Pat Hinde Caravans and acquired the Sprite dealership. In 2000 the Gypsey and Jurgens dealerships were also awarded to Comet Caravans. From 1988 - 1992 Comet Caravans was awarded the Parts & Accessories Top Volume Dealer. From 1988 to 1993 Comet was awarded the Top Volume Dealer in S.A.

In 1993 & 1994 Comet Caravans was also awarded the Top 5 Award. In 1994 Comet Caravans was also awarded the award for the Most Improved Dealer. In 2001 Comet Caravans was awarded the Top 5 Volume Dealer for Wilk and  also the Top 10 Volume Dealer for Gypsey.

We have a retail area of +- 800 square meters where we display all the camping goods necessary for caravanning. We also extended the product range to include safari tents, commercial canvas tents, nylon tents, all the Campworld goods (we are a Campworld dealer), camping furniture like tables and chairs, wash-up stands, drying racks and a variety of foam and airbeds.

A complete range of National Luna and Campquip 4 x 4 offroad Fridge/freezers are on sale, as well as Staycold, Zero, Engel, National Luna and Electrolux. We specialize in gas equipment and service heaters in wintertime.

Our Professional Caravan Team at Comet Caravans are continually setting themselves new challenges in service delivery to its customers to ensure that the quality and thoroughness of the pre-delivery process of all our caravans are consistent.
Roland Adler is committed to the caravanning industry, and his personal goal is to do it better. Roland says, "At Comet Caravans, we really do Care!" We are an easy gas filling station, we fill any size gas cylinders.
